Our mission description says it all: The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through advocacy and education.

Would you like to have updates on issues we are tracking in the state and federal legislatures? Would you like to find out more about League activities and where you can have a say in your government? Click on the link below to sign up for either the LWV-BMC newsletter or for Action Alerts or both!

  • The newsletter is issued once a month and a notice is emailed to subscribers. This list is also used periodically to announce public events sponsored by the League.
  • An action alert is an email sent to subscribers to mobilize them to take prompt action to influence public policy on a specific topic. Examples of responses to an action alert include phone calls, emails, social media posts, postcards, and letters. Action alerts for the state of Indiana are most frequent when the IN General Assembly is in session. Action alerts for the U.S. Congress can appear throughout the year.

Although your mailing address and phone number are not required when filling out the form, it is helpful to add your city and state. Thank you!
